About Drafted Tech
In one sentence
Drafted Tech publishes honest, long-form reviews of the tech you were about to buy.
Boilerplate, about 30 words
Drafted Tech publishes long-form, honest reviews of SaaS, AI tools, consumer electronics and wearables. Every product is used on real work, and every review discloses how it was obtained.
Mission
Drafted Tech exists for the moment right before you buy. We use the product on real work, for long enough to find what breaks, and write down whether it was worth the money. Every review says how we got the product, we never send drafts for approval, and we do not sell coverage or placement.
Social bio
Honest reviews of the tech you were about to buy. We live with it, then write down what broke.
The reporter
Tomasz Mieczkowski
Reporter, Drafted Tech. Founder and lead developer, Web For Actors.
Short bio
Tomasz Mieczkowski reviews software and hardware for Drafted Tech. A Los Angeles software developer and the founder of Web For Actors, he tests every tool on real work and asks whether you could build it yourself for less.
Long bio
Tomasz Mieczkowski is the reporter behind Drafted Tech and has written all 85 pieces it has published so far. He is a software developer based in Los Angeles, and the founder and lead developer of Web For Actors, a digital distribution and development company that builds websites and career tools for actors, filmmakers and other creatives. Web For Actors was twice nominated for Startup of the Year by Tech Cocktail.
That background shapes how he reviews. He builds software for a living, so every tool gets two questions a spec sheet cannot answer: does it hold up on real work, and could you build or self-host it for less? He covers SaaS, AI tools, consumer electronics, wearables and lifestyle tech, with a close eye on lifetime software deals, and every review says how he got the product.
