Ray-Ban Meta Review: POV Content Made Easy

The interesting question was never whether it works. It was what it costs you to keep it working.

Price is the least interesting question right up until it is the only question. Something can be worth every penny and still be the wrong purchase, if the cheaper thing would have done.

Filed under Smart Apparel, which on this site means we care about the boring parts: whether it holds a connection, whether the app is still maintained a year from now, and whether anybody answers the phone when it breaks. The question is never whether a thing works in the shop. It is whether it still works in six months, on your network, alongside your other devices, without you having to think about it.

If you want the short version: it depends, and the thing it depends on is probably not what you expected.

Bought this on your recommendation two months ago and I would say the same. The app is the best part, which is a strange thing to say about hardware this expensive.

Does it work at all offline, or is it a brick without the cloud service?
