This sat on a desk, in a bag and on a shelf, in roughly that order, and earned its place in exactly one of them.
The specification sheet and the experience are different documents. One is written by the people who built it. The other gets written by you, slowly, in small moments of mild irritation or quiet relief.
Filed under Automation, which on this site means we care about the boring parts: whether it holds a connection, whether the app is still maintained a year from now, and whether anybody answers the phone when it breaks. The question is never whether a thing works in the shop. It is whether it still works in six months, on your network, alongside your other devices, without you having to think about it.
If you want the short version: it depends, and the thing it depends on is probably not what you expected.
