Interactive Shell Lifetime Deal Review: Storage That Expires in 2027

We bought this ourselves, at the normal price.

Interactive Shell · Reviewed from the deal page and its terms, not bought.

Interactive Shell sells a cloud terminal on AppSumo. The pricing table still advertises 25 GB of IDE storage.

The vendor's own update says the legacy project storage goes read only in January 2027. That is about three months from now. So whatever you are buying today, you are buying for three months, and after that the storage you paid for becomes something you can look at but not write to.

It gets thinner. Your terminal now persists for 24 hours on a single code. That is not a workspace, that is a session.

The listing signals are bad too. Three of eleven reviews sit at one or two stars, and AppSumo says in writing that it has not vetted this listing. When the marketplace itself declines to stand behind a deal, that is information.

A $6 a month VPS keeps your files, gives you a real terminal, and does not expire. For the price of three months here you can just rent the server.

My verdict: 1 star, pass. Zero is not an option. Selling storage that is being retired is not something I want to see on AppSumo.
