ImageDino lets you design one template and then render product shots, ad creative and link previews from it through an API. I bought tier two on camera.
Tier one is $39, and it has the usual red marks. No MCP on the cheapest tier. It does have API access, and if you have an API you can connect Claude to it, so holding back MCP makes no sense.
The money works. $39 buys 500 renders a month, and as far as I can tell that really means 500 images. Placid charges $19 a month for the same 500, so it pays back in two months. ImageDino looks a lot like Placid, rebuilt and put on AppSumo.
The limit that bites first is the 5GB of bandwidth, not the render count. Tier three adds renders but no more bandwidth.
The other reason to skip tier one is signed URLs. With a plain dynamic URL, anyone who finds one can change the name in the link over and over and burn through your credits. Signed URLs add a checksum so a changed link is refused. The URL builder most people actually use starts at $79. If you buy, buy tier two.
The risk is age. They started in May, with two reviews, and a company that young can disappear before you get around to using what you bought.
My verdict: 3 stars, maybe, and I took the gamble on tier two. Last week's image tool was underwhelming, and this is an improvement. I will report back once I have built something with it.
