Vibe App Scanner checks an AI-built app for the holes vibe coding leaves behind, like exposed API keys, and hands you copy-paste fixes for your coding assistant.
The risk it covers is real. People build an app with AI, deploy it, and a key leaks. Some providers let you cap spending. Others keep billing as long as someone is using your key, and you can wake up to a bill in the thousands.
$49 covers three sites and fifteen scans a month. The catch is what the cheap tier leaves out. There is no MCP, so the fixes come back as text you paste in yourself, line by line. I worked that way with AI code for months and got fed up with it. If you buy this, you are going to hate yourself for not paying $119, because that is where MCP starts and the fixes go straight into your editor.
My honest alternative is a one-month Claude subscription. It costs less than tier two, it can scan every site you have built rather than three, and it uses a small part of the month's quota doing it. A scan run once also does not need a lifetime license. If you are not leaking keys today, you will not start tomorrow unless you keep shipping new code.
It is ten months old with five reviews, so there is no track record to lean on.
My verdict: 3 stars, maybe. No for me. If you ship vibe-coded apps for clients and have no way to check them, it pays for itself the first time. Just buy the $119 tier.
