Litlyx is cookie-free, GDPR-compliant web analytics, pitched against Google Analytics and Mixpanel. Google Analytics is free, which is worth saying before anything else.
The product is genuinely open source, and the vendor's own FAQ explains how to self-host it with Docker. A server that will run it costs about $5 a month. So the question is not whether Litlyx is any good, it is why you would pay $39 for a lifetime seat on something you can install yourself on hardware you probably already have.
The limits make that worse. The cheapest tier caps at 50,000 events a month and one project per workspace, under a headline promising unlimited domains. 50,000 events is not much unless almost nobody visits your site.
Then there is the signal in the reviews. Four of twenty sit at two stars, and the founder has already floated limiting database-heavy features for code holders. That is the sentence that decided it for me: it tells you the lifetime plan is negotiable from their side.
My verdict: 2 stars, pass. I would not pay for it and I would not buy it, but I am glad it exists and I hope people improve it. If you want it, self-host it.
