Prismical records your Zoom calls without sending a bot into the meeting, transcribes the audio on your own computer, and writes the notes for you. That part is genuinely nice, and the AppSumo deal starts at $59.
The pitch promises zero usage caps if you bring your own OpenAI or Claude API key. On the $59 tier that option is locked, and AI summaries are capped at 100 a month. If you sit in 20 hours of meetings a month, 100 questions runs out quickly. Bring your own key should be standard, not an upsell.
To be fair, the deal terms say you get all future premium plan updates, so nobody is setting you up to pay again for new features. That nearly earned it a third star.
What cost it that star is the free competition. Prismical's own free plan gives you 300 minutes a month. Meetily does the same bot-free, local transcription on Windows, is open source, and lets you plug in your own AI for nothing. Granola and Otter.ai are there too if you want a polished paid option.
My verdict: 2 stars, pass. If you need the higher tiers and would rather pay once, it may be worth it. Otherwise, start with Meetily.
