BuzzHooks hands you 2,400 hook ideas and turns a product photo into a Seedance video ad. That beats staring at a blank screen, and the AppSumo deal starts at $59.
Look at the credits, though. You get 500 credits a month, and a single five-second 720p clip costs 200 of them. That works out to about 12 seconds of video a month. If that is genuinely all you need, fine. For anyone else it is a hard ceiling.
For comparison, fal.ai sells those same seconds of video for under $4, with no monthly cap. At that rate the deal takes well over a year to pay for itself, and only if you use every second every month. Getting real volume would mean the top tier at around $500, for a tool that still does not let you bring your own key.
One more thing stood out. One of the presets scripts a five-star customer testimonial that nobody actually gave, and the FTC bans exactly that kind of fake review.
It also reminded me of Supermachine, another AppSumo deal I bought. The company is still around, but I can no longer log in, and my messages to them went unanswered.
My verdict: 1 star, pass.
